About Dental Implants in Valencia

Dental implants have a variety of applications in modern dentistry. First clinically developed in 1965 to replace individual missing teeth, implants essentially act as tooth roots onto which a crown, bridge or other prosthetic device is attached, replicating the appearance and function of the rest of your teeth.

Today, implants are generally made from either titanium or zirconia (non-metal), with popular treatments including:

  • Traditional single dental implants embedded into the jawbone (referred to as endosteal).

  • Subperiosteal implants, which rest on top of the jawbone underneath the gum tissue.

  • Zygomatic implants, embedded into the zygomatic bone in cases where a patient has insufficient jawbone density.

  • Immediate load (or “same-day”) implants.

  • Mini-implants, which are often used to stabilise a denture (implant-supported overdenture).

  • All-on-X” techniques, such as an All-on-5 or All-on-6 where multiple implants are used to permanently hold a fixed bridge (also known as full-arch restoration).

Our partner clinics in Valencia work with experienced implantologists and prosthodontists to deliver a wide range of treatments—such as the ones listed above—using world-renowned implant brands such as:

  • Osstem®

  • Nobel Biocare®

  • BioHorizons®

  • Straumann®

  • Dentsply®

  • Zimmer Biodent®

How Long Will I Need to Stay in Valencia to Complete My Treatment?

Dental implant treatment is typically a two-stage process, as the titanium posts will need time to fuse with the jawbone following surgery (a process called osseointegration).

This normally takes between four and six months, after which patients return to their chosen clinic in Valencia to complete the final restoration step.

  • First trip: Presurgical appointment where impressions are taken along with other measurements and evaluations. This is followed by dental implant surgery and follow-up appointment. Duration: approx. 3–5 days

  • Second trip: Impressions and fitting of the final fixed prosthesis. Duration: approx. 3–5 days.

Note: Waiting times between appointments will be quicker in cases where a clinic has its own in-house laboratory for manufacturing crowns, bridges and other prosthetic devices.

How Much Are Dental Implants in Valencia?

  • Single dental implants (implant only) in Valencia cost approximately EUR 600 (GBP 500).

  • An implant including an abutment and crown costs approximately EUR 1,400 (GBP 1,200) in Valencia.
