  • Unwind while roaming around the park and lakes like the Hoan Kiem Lake and Ly Thai To Statue and Park.
  • Attend a cooking class.
  • Taste some delicious Vietnamese cuisine.
  • Take a day trip (or overnight) to the incredible Ha Long Bay.

What Is the All-on-4® Treatment Concept?

The All-on-4® treatment concept involves an entire arch of teeth being replaced with a fixed bridge that is attached to just four dental implants per jaw.

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root placed in the jawbone that holds a crown or bridge.

While the surgery (extractions, implants and placement of a temporary loading denture) can be carried out in one session, the entire treatment requires extensive planning, tests and evaluations, which are carried out by your dentist in Vietnam.

The All-on-4® treatment concept is an option for those who lost their teeth due to gum problems, injury, and other reasons.

What Is the Process Involved in the Treatment?

Before you travel to Hanoi, you can obtain a preliminary assessment and price quote from your chosen dentist through Dental Departures by sending through up-to-date scans and digital x-rays.

Once it is determined the treatment is right for you, you'll meet with the dentist for one or more pre-surgery appointments. After a consultation to ensure healthy bone structure and absence of infection, patients are able to undergo surgery for the All-on-4® treatment concept, which is carried out under local anaesthetic with conscious sedation (IV).

Any remaining teeth are first extracted, making way for the implants to be surgically placed. Once the implants are in place, the dentist attaches your new temporary arch of teeth in the form of an immediate loading denture, which is then trimmed down to form a fixed bridge.

Note: After surgery, the implants will take around three to four months to fuse with the jawbone (osseointegration), while the gums and fixed prosthesis should also be protected. Thus, patients are advised to follow a diet of semi-solid/soft food during this time.

After around six months, you will return to the clinic and the temporary teeth will be changed for your new permanent ones.

Practice proper oral hygiene by brushing, flossing and rinsing with mouthwash - just as you would with your own teeth - and your implants should last a lifetime.

Your dentist will give your further instructions on how to maintain your implants. With proper care, the new permanent fixed bridge will last for many years.

What Are the Benefits of this Implant-Based Restoration?

  • The procedure is carried out in one session, with your new teeth fitted on the same day of your procedure.
  • The dental implants provide a complete arch of permanent, stable teeth.
  • There is surprisingly little downtime following the surgery (although vigorous activity should be avoided following surgery)
  • Patients with bone loss in the jaw may still be suitable.
  • It can be less expensive than replacing teeth one-by-one with traditional implants.
  • There is evidence that dental implants are beneficial to patients with bone loss because they stimulate the jaw bone in the same way as a normal tooth root would.
