Tell Me More about the All-on-4® Treatment Concept
Dental implants act as replacement tooth roots, placed in the jawbone to hold a crown or custom-made bridge.
The All-on-4® treatment concept involves the placement of four implants to support an entire upper or lower arch of teeth.
Thanks to the unique positioning and longer length of the implants, patients who have previously been deemed unsuitable for other implant-based restoration due to bone loss may still be suitable for this method.
What Does the Treatment Process Involve?
The process involves initial consultation, diagnostic tests, planning, surgery, and placement of the denture/bridge.
During the initial consultation, your dentist will evaluate your condition, check your bite, and consider other factors. He or she will also discuss the process, length of treatment, type of material for the replacement teeth, costs, and other details.
Next, diagnostics tests such as CT scans are taken to determine the location of the implants. A personalized treatment plan will be created based on your needs and goals.
The surgical procedure is normally carried out under local anesthetic with IV sedation. It involves:
- Removing any remaining teeth
- Inserting the titanium implants at the predetermined positions
- Attaching specialized abutments and coping cylinders
- Screwing on the temporary arch of teeth (immediate loading denture)
It should also be noted that, while tests and evaluations are required in Bali, the actual surgery only takes one day. This means you can return home with your new, albeit temporary set of teeth attached, returning to Bali after at least six months once your implants have properly fused with the jawbone.
Once you are back home, the implants will need time to fuse with the bone (a process called osseointegration) to form a secure base for the dentist to attach the replacement teeth (bridge).
After the treatment, the dentist will inform you of how to take care of your teeth with implants. This includes observing proper oral hygiene–brush, floss, and rinse with mouthwash. In addition, you need to get periodic professional teeth cleaning (prophylaxis).
What Are the Advantages of the All-on-4® Treatment Concept?
- Improves your facial appearance
- They look and feel like your natural teeth

- Helps you to talk and eat comfortably, with 90% functionality
